Lock Your Workstation

I remember Sigmund Floyd mention that he had this Workstation Lock icon which is quicker than the traditional Ctrl-Alt-Del and Enter routine. Of late, this Ctrl-Alt-Delete-Enter routine’s become an irritating habit. The problem is that it doesn’t work in most places — for example XP Home, Win2k, etc. So here’s what I found:

1. Created a Shortcut on my Desktop that runs:
C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe user32.dll, LockWorkStation
2. Assigned Ctrl-Shift-L as it’s Shortcut Key

1. Moved it to my Accessories folder so my Desktop stays clean!

Now, life is a wee little easier!
