OS X and Windows Server 2003 File Sharing
If you try connecting to a Windows Server 2003 network file share and simply aren’t able to, here are a few things you can try:
- Try this KB article — Start the Computer Management tool in the Win2003 server, right-click on Shared Folders and click Configure File Server for Macintosh. Choose Apple Clear Text. Try surfing the network now.
- IF that fails, check if your Win2003 server is a Domain Controller. If it is, open up it’s Domain Security Policy and deactivate the Always secured connection policy. Try now.
- If that fails too, open your Domain Controller Policy, surf to Security Settings, open up Local Policies, then Security Options and disable the Digitally Sign Communications always option.
