Inverse Screen Colors in OS X/Windows
There’s a neat Accessibility feature in OS X (and Windows) that I use quite often — when reading stuff, mainly. It basically inverts all colors on the screen. So a white background becomes black, black text becomes white. Much easier on the eyes! There is a rumor that this decreases battery consumption on laptops too, but there is also a rumor that inversed colors consume more juice. Either way, it’s a cool feature to know. I find it especially cool when I need to go through a large Word document after I’ve spent a whole day in front of the machine!
In OS X: Ctrl-Alt-Command-8
In Windows 2000 I don’t think it’s possible to change the large font size it attaches to certain parts of the screen. This is customizable in XP, though. Just change High Contrast Inverse (Large) to High Contrast Inverse.
In Windows: Left Alt-Left Shift-Print Screen
