I would like to recommend checking out GridRepublic as an easy way to get involved with BOINC. GridRepublic is a nonprofit working in collaboration with BOINC to make it much easier to use. You can find the projects all on one site, join them, and manage them all with one login. You can use it with BOINC if you already have it as well.
